O.K, strange life. So much has happened the past few weeks, I can't even begin to tell you about it. But I will try. My mom had a stroke. She's ok, but I went to Madison for a week and it totally uprooted my schedule! I still have a Hindi midterm to makeup, among other things. I am soo ready for the semester to be over. 4 more weeks!

While I was home, Leah gave me this book, God's Gift to Women by one of the Ludys. She had given me another one of their books before, but I hadn't read it until now. Its soo cool! I really liked it, and it has now inspired me to read all their books and go on a retreat in Colorado right before I leave for India. Its kinda rash, but I think it will be fun. Plus it would be good for me and Leah to spend some time before I leave.

Today, while I was walking to Coffman, I saw a huge crowd of people and a police car. I was curious as to what was going on, so I went over and this radical crazy preacher was trying to inspire all of the U of MN kids into believing in God. Now, if done properly this is a really positive thing. However, he decided that the way to bring people to Christ is to promote racism, sexism and hatred to the student body. He was making all sorts of derogetory statements to Islamic students in the audience and calling them terrorists. Then, when he was part of a discussion with a girl about the Bible and theology he promptly pronounced he was "no longer going to speak with the women". he was "done with the women". He picked one super goth guy dressed in all black with spikes on his backpack and said something about how he was evil, and he was wearing a cross! He said sheepishly that he was a Lutheran, and the preacher went off on how Lutherans aren't really Christians to this group of people. I love that people like this try to spread the good word of God and all they do is promote hatred and negativity instead of positivity and tolerance.
